The surface of earth consists of land and water. About 71% of surface is covered with water and rest 29% is solid surface called land. The land has been divided into 7 unequal parts, and those 7 land-masses are called Continents.

How many Continents are there in the world?

As discussed above, solid surface of earth has been divided into 7 unequal land-masses which are called continents, which means there are 7 continents in the world.

Here is the list of continents:

  1. Europe

Continents Map

Here is a world map showing the geographical location of the continents to give you an idea of where these continents are situated on the globe.

Let's learn a bit more about continents because it is always better to learn little more than the names only.
