Africa

As discussed in Continents' Page, Africa is the Second largest continent covering the land area of 30.3 million square kilometers. We'll learn about names and number of countries in Africa, here.

Number of countries in Africa

Geographically, There are 55 countries in Africa but, as per United Nations, there are 54 countries in Africa because Western Sahara is disputed territory. Apart from these countries, there are three dependent territories named Reunion, Mayotte and Saint Helena.
